Testimonials
"Just a note to thank you again for your help today, together with the
education and encouragement that comes with your organizing package
:-)
Your help really boosts my productivity and my overall sense of well
being so very much.
Hope the rest of your day and week go as well for you as today went
for me here."
All the best, Richard S. Phoenix, Arizona
"I had grown quietly
but increasingly desperate, seeing my office desk piling up ever more
with clutter each day, noting I could no longer push additional papers
into bulging files. When I saw her online ad and noted she was in
Phoenix, I called immediately.
Ms. Simpson is a consummate professional. She finds out quickly
through prepared questionnaires and personal interview, exactly what
YOU wish to accomplish. She won’t decide what needs to be thrown out,
but she is a font of wisdom regarding what needs to be kept for
various financial or tax reasons, and very helpful in making
suggestions about how to organize what you definitely need, what you
may want to keep, etc.
She has specific rules (should you put papers in file from newest to
oldest or oldest to newest; should you label the top of the file on
the back or front of the file?), and explains why her choices are
better than the alternatives. Feel free, of course, to do it your way
instead, but I was amazed at how much easier her way made things. She
specializes in simple solutions to common problems.
I caution that organizational services may cost more than expected, in
part because the tasks take longer to accomplish than one initially
thinks, and in part because once you see how well she has organized,
say, your office, all of a sudden organizing the attic or garage or
basement become considerations worth exploring. And like any new
habit, it is easy to fall out of it, and you may need to call for an
extra appointment in six months or so to “catch up”.
Be prepared that this is a team effort; Valerie works hard, but so
will you. You can’t get organizing done by just delegating her to do
it. It’s much more interactive than that, so you need to plan the
time. But it’s well worth while when you’ve finished.
I highly recommend Valerie Simpson if you’ve an office, attic,
basement, kitchen, closet, or most anything that needs to be
organized." Ross Levatter, MD in Phoenix, Arizona 031308

"My

she is discreet with my personal information." Carol S. Advertising in

"My truly a gifted
professional organizer approached the task of organizing years of
clutter with great respect for both the objects themselves and the
meanings imbedded in them. She attains the perfect balance between
recognizing a clients personal wishes and offering a gentle nudge
toward change. Her work reflects a keen intuitive sense of the deeper
psychological, emotional, and external forces at play. Her contagious
enthusiasm makes an otherwise dreadful task instead a refreshing
life-changing experience, and I look forward to tackling future
projects together with her." Rachel P. in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

Tips for Making Your Home More
Saleable & Livable
Before you put your home on the market or invite friends and family or
others over, there are some things you can do to differentiate your
house among the competitors and others.
When preparing to put your home up for sale, your first concern is the
home's exterior. If the outside, or "curb appeal" looks good, people
will more than likely want to see what's on the inside. Keep the lawn
and landscape nicely manicured. Trim the bushes and season permitting,
plant some flowers. Be sure your front door area has a "Welcome"
feeling. A fresh coat of paint on the front door looks great.
Of all the rooms inside your home, pay special attention to the
kitchen and bathrooms. They should look as modern, bright and fresh as
possible. It is essential for them to be clean and odor free. A fresh
coat of paint just may do the trick. Have any leaky faucets taken care
of. A call to a plumber is a wise investment.
For Your Home
Our home improvement section features how-to tips and important
information about repairing and remodeling your home.
Since you want your home to look as spacious as possible, remove any
excess or very large furniture. Make sure that table tops, dressers
and closets are free of clutter. Don't use your garage, attic, or
basement to store these extra things. These areas also need to have
the impression of space. Instead, put them into storage. Make sure
walls and doors are free of smudges and look for anything that might
indicate a maintenance problem, such as cracked windows, holes in the
wall or stained ceilings.
Finally, if your basement shows any signs of dampness or leakage, seal
the walls.
Quick tips for showings:
Keep counter tops cleared
Replace all burned out lightbulbs
Open all drapes and window blinds
Put pets in cages or take them to a neighbor
No dirty dishes in the sink
No laundry in the washer/dryer
Clean or replace dirty or worn carpets
Put on soft music
Burn wood in the fireplace on cold days, otherwise, the fireplace
should be clean
Always look at your home from the buyer's point of view. Be objective
and be honest.

Keeping up with Recycling with
GCycle
In the business
world, there’s an unwritten expectation that we keep up with
technology. If our competitors do, then we need to stay current,
too.
Many
of us are used to being responsible earthlings at home by
dutifully putting junk mail in the blue box with cans, bottles
and recyclable plastics, right? But what about the unwanted
“stuff” in our offices? How do we easily dispose of outdated
gizmos and technology gadgets?
There’s a cool Web site that can tell you,
by zip code, where to get rid of your old computers, disks, cell
phones, laptops, monitors, batteries and more. Visit
www.GCycle.com and
discover just how close those drop-off locations can be.
